The Ugly Truth Of COVID-19
My dad always says there is a positive side in every event, person or phenomenon and I was thinking over last one week what could be the positive side of COVID-19, a global challenge that every country is trying to cope up with. Thousands of people dying, millions are infected and almost the entire world is imprisoned to what they call quarantined. World stock markets are crashed and it will have long term reunification. People are running to get shelter for basic needs.
Today in the morning I woke up early with chanting of birds, it never happened in the past, it was always traffic noise, I saw a lovely blue skyline. You all will be happy to note that AQI (Air Quality Index) of Mumbai which was at a whopping 152 on 15 February is 13 today. Such a lovely time for the family to be together, we played cards, ludo and also enjoyed watching old albums it was fun. My dad and I also tried our hands in the kitchen. Let’s leave it there and not ask the outcome.
I connected with some of my friends and chatted upon old incidents. I have also seen how the human side of people during this testing time’s to support the people in need. This time may also bring some changes in the Corporate World and Education arena. My dad is working from home, my classes are on with Google classroom, I’m gymming via ZOOM. We have not witnessed this in past or if it was there it was in pockets but now it will redefine the rules of the game.
Though the real root cause and vaccine is yet to come, Internationally, this pandemic will also change the balance in of power, Europian counties succumbed to it while with strong discipline and focus cane out, India re-established itself in SAARC, On another hand, America is struggling big time.
My heartfelt thanks to all the worriers, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, cops and support staff who are helping us to come out with disaster, it’s just a matter of a few more days and then we can get back to our lives. Stay Safe everyone
